Fredhopper is looking to expand its product services team with senior technical consultants. The product services team is responsible for the full client cycle from pre-sales workshops to software implementations, customer support and follow-up assignments. The team often works in co-operation with system integrators.

As a senior technical consultant you will be responsible for technical implementation and customisation of Fredhopper software for clients. Being a team player, you will work in close co-operation with clients, with Fredhopper product developers and user experience consultants.

Deep technical skills

Successful candidates are experienced developers but clearly prefer working directly with clients. You have worked in professional companies and have a proven track record. As a technical expert with broad experience in major platforms, clients will present you with complex technical challenges. Being pragmatic, you will design and implement feasible solutions. To serve your clients in the most professional way, your personal skills are exceptional compared to your peers. Candidates will have a Masters degree in computer sciences or related fields, and have at least 5 years relevant experience.

Experience consists of:

• Deep knowledge of mainstream operating systems (Win2K/NT, Linux, Solaris, AIX) and databases (Oracle, DB2, MS SQL server, Postgres).
• Proven track record in Java, JSP, Perl, VB, XML, XSL, shell scripting, Javascript etc.
• Solid experience with J2EE standards and application servers like IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic, Oracle Application Server, Microsoft .net etc.
• Experience with developing web applications for large user groups.
• Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms is a preference.
