At Fredhopper we are seeking one or more Data Engineers to join our product services team working on our next generation search engine. As a Data Engineer you play a key role in the team and help with the implementation of Fredhopper software for clients. You will, among other things, analyze and manage structured and unstructured data, and provide data integration and data mining services. Our top software product and ever growing number of customers provide a unique opportunity to learn fast and gain practical experience in E-commerce, Data Mining, and Predictive Analytics.

The nature of the issues we’re working on requires a product services team that yields both excellent analytical and engineering skills. For this flexible position (3-5 days per week) we welcome applications from talented students with good academic results and a hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• University student in Business Mathematics & Informatics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent
• Hands-on, practical skills in dealing with large amounts of data (XML, CSV), working with databases and ETL tools
• Self starter with strong drive who mobilises people and gets things done
• Good knowledge of English language
• Java programming skills are a plus
